Eileen Fuchs

Former Riverhead resident Eileen Fuchs of Port St. Lucie, Fla., died Oct. 12 at age 91.

Born in England July 4, 1921, to Levi and Ethel (Loader) Randle, she served in the British Army during World War II. She married William Fuchs in 1975 and was a homemaker for most of her adult life. Family members said she enjoyed knitting.

Predeceased by her husband, Ms. Fuchs is survived by her sons, John, of Port St. Lucie, and Kenneth, of Fort Pierce, Fla.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours were held Sunday, Oct. 14, at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. Cremation was private.
