Living Water Church presents its show, “The Wonder of Christmas,” Dec. 11-13 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 14, at 3 p.m. I have attended this event for many years and it’s always been special. This presentation will definitely put you in the Christmas spirit. It’s that time of year again. Kick off your holiday shopping at Old Steeple Church’s annual Christmas Fair Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be Christmas crafts and cookies for sale, a quilt raffle and a chinese auction. Also, there will be food for sale including gingerbread houses, homemade candy, breads, muffins, pickles and jellies. Lunch will also be available for purchase. Items include soup, chili, sandwiches, salads, hot dogs, soda, bottled water, coffee and tea.  (more…)

Our Redeemer Lutheran Church is an active participant in Operation Christmas Child, a wonderful outreach that provides shoeboxes full of practical and fun gifts for needy children around the world. The mission statement at samaritanspurse.org, the organization that leads OCC, reads: “Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. I can’t believe it’s November already. North Fork in the fall is the best! Here’s another reminder of the events in and around Jamesport and Aquebogue. Enjoy!

Paolo Bartolani, Italian virtuoso concert pianist, will open the Jamesport Meeting House’s fall season with a program of solo works on Saturday, Nov. 1, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $18 in advance at jamesportmeetinghouse.org and $20 at the door. I hope everyone had a happy Labor Day and enjoyed these final weeks of summer with lots of fun in the sun.
