The Medical Home is a medical office specializing in general and urgent-care medicine.

In a profession in which many medical offices lack the service mind-set and operational efficiency necessary to the operation of other industries, The Medical Home staff focuses on working together with patients to set goals, making use of technology to identify patient needs and outcomes and improving access through open scheduling and expanding hours.
Dr. Bellamy Brook defines The Medical Home by the six Cs of care: coordinated, comprehensive, continuous, connected and compassionate, with cultural competence. These providers follow accepted guidelines used in clinical decision-making to meet the needs of patients in most circumstances.

In addition to Dr. Brook, The Medical Home staff includes physician assistants David Berezny and Michael Troyan, both specializing in family practice and urgent-care medicine.
The team’s approach to clinical care is reflected in the lobby, designed to resemble a boutique hotel with its open welcoming reception area. The Medical Home accepts new patients, offers in-house X-ray and lab service and accepts most insurance.

The office is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4 :30 p.m.; Tuesday, 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. The website is www.drbellamybrook.com.

This boutique agency’s staff believes that clients wish to say goodbye to the large corporations and their franchises that have dominated the East End real estate market, in favor of a localized, individual approach to each property, down to the last detail.

The agents combine over 40 years of experience on their native North Fork, and know that word of mouth — living, shopping and dining in the community where they work — in combination with all forms of social networking and multiple listing services on highly traveled websites give their team a deeper knowledge of the area and provide an advantage for getting the job done.

NFREinc. also offers home staging and interior design plus property and marine maintenance, and finds unique venues for outdoor advertising to showcase properties — such as Sep’s iconic farm stand, perfectly placed on the way to/from the ferry at Orient, and lighted outdoor kiosks at New York City locations that are carefully selected, Ms. Rishe says, “to get your home the attention it deserves.”

The NFREinc. mission: “We will never compromise our integrity. We will continue to let our honest and ethical reputation prevail over financial reward.”

The NFREinc. office is open 7 days a week, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Its website is NFREinc.com.

Stat Health Walk-In Medical Care in Cutchogue offers “immediate medical care without the ER wait,” according to business manager Karen Catapano. Dr. Michael Catapano is board certified in both internal and emergency medicine, with over 30 years of emergency medical experience treating children and adults.
Stat Health welcomes Dr. James Bopp to the practice, a former director of emergency services at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center who is also board certified in both internal and emergency medicine.

Stat Health provides comprehensive immediate medical care for adults and children in a friendly, comfortable environment. “We offer a quick, in-and-out solution for simple medical issues such as sore throats, bee stings, poison ivy, tick bites, splinters, urinary tract infections, asthma flare-ups, skin rashes and other relatively minor ailments that need immediate attention and treatment,” according to Ms. Catapano.

Dr. Catapano also specializes in urgent care for children so they can be treated for a variety of childhood illnesses without having to wait for an appointment.

The Cutchogue facility houses a state-of-the-art digital x-ray that allows patients to view on-screen images along with the physician. CDs of the images can be made for the patient to take to a specialist for follow-up, if needed. The office also offers a fully equipped laboratory and blood draw station, EKG, nebulizer treatments and a suture/casting room for more serious lacerations and fractures.
Stat Health is staffed with board certified emergency physicians, and most insurance plans are accepted. Walk-in patients are seen on a first come, first served basis.

And Who’s Watching Your House? Inc. is a family-owned and operated home watch service that provides peace of mind for homeowners who leave their homes unoccupied while on vacation, living elsewhere during the work week, or over the winter. “We keep an eye on your home when you’re away” is the firm’s slogan.

“We make regular checks on the property to make sure that it does not appear unoccupied, and thus a target for burglars,” say the business owners. They also prevent mechanical failures from developing into catastrophes and make sure the house is ready when the homeowners return.

Owners John Ryley and Jamie Krohmer have operated an award-winning dryer vent franchise in Suffolk County, and John is a licensed home improver. Owner Patricia Whitlock, a Navy veteran, is active with the Patchogue Fire Department.

“What sets us apart is that we live only minutes from all our clients,” the owners say. “We do not offer in-home house sitting or property management. We also do not watch houses as a side-job. We are professionals dedicated to caring for your home while you’re away. We like to think of our work as neighbors looking out for neighbors.”

They offer house-watching services in Suffolk County from Blue Point to Hampton Bays and Stony Brook to Jamesport. “We take away any worry a person may have about going away, even if it’s for a few weeks. Instead of asking a friend or neighbor to look in on your home, turn on the lights, pick up your junk mail or anything else required, ask us, we can do it all!” say John, Jamie and Pat.

Owner: Monica Kreischer

Year established: 2009

Location: Southold

Phone: 631-876-5205

Monica Kreischer’s Interiors Styled is an interior design service that caters to North Fork homeowners who want to sell their homes. “We create order from disorder,” says Monica. Interiors Styled can make a home more livable and marketable with a complete decorating makeover, or by adding and subtracting style elements, introducing touches of color, playing with scale or mixing old with new.

With over 20 years of design experience, Monica can rearrange, redesign and update interiors to create an attractive, fresh and uncluttered look, increase the home’s appeal to potential buyers or rejuvenate it with a new aura.

Interiors Styled appeals to savvy homeowners who want to create a custom look within their budgets. “We will work with you whether you want to stage your home for the most profitable sale or simply want to rearrange, restyle and refresh your home to create a timeless interior,” says Monica. “We want to freshen your home so the prospective buyer’s reaction is, ‘Wow … this home could me mine!’ ”

The goal of Interiors Styled is to maximize the seller’s investment. Monica works within the budget-minded client’s framework and to create a high-end look in any interior without spending a lot of money. “We will always suggest and recommend the appropriate mix to complete the project within the client’s budget parameters,” says Monica, adding that “this can be one of the best investments an individual can make in the process of selling a home in today’s difficult market.”

If staging furniture is needed, Monica can obtain the necessary pieces and arrange them as perfect visual props, or if a fresh coat of paint is called for to update a tired, drab space, Interiors Styled can provide color consultation and has licensed contractors available to get the job done quickly and professionally.
