Three men were taken to an area hospital after a Hummer T-boned another vehicle Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Route 105 and County Road 104 in Riverside, Southampton Town Police said.
The Hummer, which had two men in it, was headed north on 104 when it collided with the other vehicle that was traveling south at about 4 p.m., Southampton Sergeant Michael Burns said. The intersection remained closed until about 4:40 p.m.
The two men in the Hummer, which ended up tumbling into a sunken wooded area near the intersection, were driven in another vehicle to Peconic Bay Medical Center. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to PBMC as well, police said. They did not appear to suffer serious injuries.
Members of the Flanders Fire Department popped open the door of the southbound vehicle, a fire official on the scene said.

A 21-year-old man hurt his arm after losing control of his pickup truck and then flipping and crashing into a utility pole Tuesday afternoon in Calverton, Riverhead Town police said.
The driver was heading north on Wading River Manor Road near the Enterprise Park at Calverton about 1 p.m. when he lost control trying to navigate a curve, police said.

The truck flipped off the roadway and collided with a utility pole on the road’s west side, snapping the pole in half, police said.
Manorville firefighters rushed to the scene and cut the man out of the truck. A Suffolk County helicopter was originally called to transport the man, but Riverhead ambulance volunteers were able to take the man to Peconic Bay Medical Center.
The man suffered a “minor arm injury” in the crash, police at the scene said.
Wading River Manor Road was closed in both directions from Route 25 to Grumman Boulevard while Suffolk County Police Department Emergency Service teams worked to right the truck and remove wreckage from the roadway.

A man was hospitalized after he was struck by a car while crossing West Main Street outside a crosswalk Thursday morning, Riverhead Town police said.
The man, in his mid- to late-30s, was walking across the road while carrying groceries near Digger’s about 10:40 a.m. when he was struck by a silver Mazda 6 sedan traveling east on West Main Street, police said.
The Mazda had a green light and the man was not walking near the crosswalk at the time of the accident, police said.
The man struck the hood of the car, splashing the milk he was carrying onto the car and road, and was thrown over the car by the impact, police said. He was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center by Riverhead ambulance volunteers, police said.
The man’s injuries did not appear serious, an officer at the scene said. The woman driving the Mazda and her passenger were uninjured in the crash.

A two-car crash at the corner of Doctors Path and Middle Road in Riverhead sent at least one woman to an area hospital in an ambulance Friday night.
A white pickup truck and black Nissan sedan both damaged their front ends in the 7:30 p.m. crash.
Riverhead Town police officers on the scene declined to comment on the cause of the accident — or the state of the passengers involved.
Nancy Guerra, who lives on Middle Road, said she ran outside after hearing a loud sound.
“I heard the woman say, ‘I’m sorry,’” she said.

A single car accident involving a Jeep Cherokee that flipped onto its side after slipping on ice shut down Sound Avenue in both directions Tuesday evening in Riverhead, police said.
No serious injuries were reported. The highway opened back up to traffic within about an hour after the 5:35 p.m. crash., which occurred near Martha Clara Vineyards.
Personnel from the Riverhead Ambulance Corps, Riverhead Police Department and Jamesport Fire Department responded to the scene.
The 4X4 was righted by firefighters within about 20 minutes of the crash, which carved up a strip of land on the north side of Sound Avenue.
