Scoring goals is nice, but Ryan Bitzer seems to enjoy setting up goals as much as scoring them. “Always been a passer,” he said.
That goes back to his days as a three-sport athlete at Riverhead High School. Whether it was football (as a quarterback), basketball or lacrosse, it was Bitzer’s nature to pass.
Stony Brook University senior attack Brody Eastwood certainly knows a good lacrosse player when he sees one. After all, he is the school’s all-time goal-scoring leader.
In his final game as a Riverhead Blue Wave two years ago, Ryan Hubbard capped his career with a seven-goal performance against West Babylon.

For Hofstra University senior attackman Mike Malave, this season has been a quantum leap over his past years with the lacrosse team.
Through six games, the former Shoreham-Wading High School standout already has accumulated 17 goals. In contrast, he scored 9, 11 and 26 goals, respectively, his previous three seasons.
