Whew, what an awesome weekend of great weather! Didn’t it feel so nice to be warm outside and not have to wear a coat? I got on the tractor for the first time in 2014. It felt so good to be outdoors after a long snowy winter, which, by the way, I also loved! Well, here we go — let’s grow some awesome fruits and veggies!

Hello, everyone! I hope you had a great couple of weeks. We’ve had some nice weather thrown in but this really has been the winter that just won’t quit. I’m looking forward to spending my mornings reading a book and drinking my tea on the deck but it’s still just a little too cold for that. Cross your fingers that these 20- to 30-degree morning temperatures end soon because I’m just about done with being cold. (more…)

Joanne Durkin, parishioner at St. John the Baptist Church in Wading River, has a grandson, Alec, who recently went on a trip to Haiti with members of Mattituck Presbyterian Church. At the last LIFT (Love Inspired Feminine Talks) meeting, held in St. John the Baptist’s parish hall, those who went on the trip discussed their experiences.
