Less than three months ago, Mattituck resident Peter Orlowski went into cardiac arrest while running at the Jamesport Fire Department’s Sound to Bay 10K race.

This Thanksgiving, he’s grateful for his health and he isn’t afraid to show it. Mr. Orlowski, a 38-year member of the Mattituck Fire Department, was one of 1,100 people who turned out to run in the Mattituck-Cutchogue Teachers’ Association’s 7th annual turkey trot Thursday morning.
