Pat Petro

Pat Petro of South Jamesport died April 4. He was 93.

He was born in Brooklyn Dec. 30, 1916, and served in the military for four years in World War II, including five campaigns in Europe. He lived in Garden City for 46 years before retiring to South Jamesport.

A certified public accountant, Mr. Petro was a partner in the firm of Petro and DeCicco in Brooklyn before becoming partners with his son in the firm of Petro and Petro in New Hyde Park.

He was active in the Loyal Order of Moose in Riverhead and Key Largo, Fla., and was a former member of the Garden City Country Club.

Predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Josephine, Mr. Petro is survived by his sons, Joseph, of Garden City, and Dr. Russell Petro of Stony Point; his sister, Ida Petro of Pelham Manor; five grandchildren; and four great-granddaughters.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph R.C. Church in Garden City, with interment at Cemetery of the Holy Rood in Westbury.
