Riverhead Police Report

An Aquebogue man was arrested this week after robbing tellers at gunpoint at a Wading River bank and making off with more than $1,000, police said.

Police said Eric Frank, 26, entered Suffolk County National Bank on Wading River Manor Road about 11 a.m. Saturday and demanded cash. Mr. Frank, who police said was wearing a mask and wielding a handgun, allegedly stole the money from the teller’s drawer before fleeing in a gold Chevrolet Trailblazer.

Mr. Frank was arrested Monday on first-degree robbery charges after town police identified him as the man who robbed the bank, officials said.

* Joseph Kess, 26, of Riverhead was arrested last week after town police searched his home and found child pornography and marijuana, authorities said. Mr. Kess was nabbed at his Fairway Avenue home about 6 a.m. last Thursday and charged with criminal possession of sexual performance by a child, third-degree criminal possession of marijuana, obstructing government administrations and resisting arrest, police said.

He was released from the Suffolk County Jail in Riverside Monday.

* Luis Suret-Lopez, 33, of Riverhead was arrested by town police about 7 p.m. Friday on West Main Street and charged with driving while intoxicated, police said.

* Charges were filed against Darryn Hardin, 23, of Flanders after town police said he pushed a female acquaintance into a door at an East Main Street home about 9 p.m. Friday. Mr. Hardin faces charges of criminal mischief and harassment, though he fled before police arrived on the scene, officials said.

* Robert Schoenhaar was arrested by town police about 6:30 p.m. last Thursday on East Main Street and charged with DWI, officials said. No additional information was available.

Those who are named in police reports have not been convicted of any crime or violation. The charges against them may later be reduced or withdrawn, or they may be found innocent.
