Cablevision outages result from downed tree

An undisclosed number of Cablevision customers had their service interrupted late Friday afternoon when a  motor vehicle accident on Manor Road in Wading River brought down a tree and some wiring. Riverhead Police had few details, but said they thought only one home had lost electrical power.
A Cablevision spokesperson said there are “some outages” in the area and the company is working with the  Long Island Power Authority to restore service as quickly as possible.
