Patricia J. Hansen

Patricia J. Hansen of Riverhead died July 25 at her home. She was 82.

She was born Feb. 2, 1928, in Brooklyn to Walter and Alice (Newalis) Robertson. Raised in Jamesport, she graduated from Riverhead High School. She married Harold Hansen Jr. on June 5, 1949, at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead.

Ms. Hansen worked for over 20 years as a secretary for the Riverhead Moose Lodge, of which she was also a member. She was a volunteer at the former Central Suffolk Hospital and a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist. According to her family, she loved the New York Mets baseball team, playing bingo and volunteering.

Ms. Hansen is survived by her husband; her sons Dan, of Aquebogue, Tim, of West Islip, and Ron, of Riverhead; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family received visitors July 28 at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. today, Thursday, July 29, at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
