Brandon Shawn Palmer

Brandon Shawn Palmer was born on April 12, 2009, in Stony Brook University Medical Center to Jourdan Lanee Seymore and Iran Andrae Palmer and was given his angel wings on July 20, 2010.

He was a very special and happy little boy. His final hours were spent surrounded by the love from his family and friends. His gentle smile, tiny fingers and baby soft skin brought so much joy to his family. Although he was young, he gave us such encouragement and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life.

Brandon is survived by his loving parents; his maternal grandparents, Conwood and Christy Seymore of Riverhead; paternal grandmother, Beryl Morgan of Kingston, Jamaica; three sisters, Sasheke and Shree Saunders and Sashelle Nugent, all of Kingston, Jamaica; his aunt and uncle, Kedra and Vincent Brown of Riverhead; cousins, Enaya, Gabriel and Camoren; great-grandfather, Minister Carlton Jordan Sr. and a host of family and friends.

The family received friends on Friday, July 23, at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck, where funeral services were conducted. Graveside services and interment were at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Center Moriches on July 24. Pastor Melvin Robinson Jr. officiated.

A trust fund has been established in memory of Brandon Shawn Palmer. Contributions may be made at any Suffolk County National Bank.
