Noreen Lopez

Noreen Lopez of Jamesport died July 23 at her home. She was 82.

She was born in Ireland Sept. 23, 1927, to John and Maria McNicholas and married Edward Lopez in Riverhead on Aug. 3, 1952.

Ms. Lopez was primarily a homemaker. She was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead and enjoyed sewing and crocheting, according to her family.

Predeceased by her husband in 1994, she is survived by her children, Patricia Loparnes of Brooklyn, and Elaine and Edward, both of Jamesport; her siblings, Eileen Murphy and Kathleen Doherty, both of Brooklyn, and Martin McNicholas of Ireland; and three grandchildren.

The family received visitors July 26 at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. Funeral services were held July 27 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church. Interment followed at Calverton National Cemetery.
