Cops: Sisters found dead after making suicide pact
Southampton Police made a startling discovery Tuesday when they responded to a call about an overwhelming odor of propane emanating from a Riverside home, only to find the expired bodies of two sisters they said made a pact to end their lives together.
Neither of the sisters contributed to the other one’s death, police said.
Police deemed the deaths a suicide after they say they discovered documents inside the home that indicated the two women, ages 41 and 45, wanted to end their lives.
Police declined to release the identities of the two sisters or the address where they lived.
Both bodies were taken to the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination and to determine the exact cause of death.
