Sandra Lee

Sandra (Sandy) Lee of Calverton died July 4, 2010, at her home. She was 70.

She was born Nov. 30, 1939, to Hubert and Opal (Ragan) Lee in Dickson, Tenn., and moved to Islip as a young child.

Sandy worked in various private businesses on Long Island, most recently Art Stone Theatrical Corp. in Smithtown. She retired two years ago after many years with the company. She will be missed by her many friends and co-workers, especially her Art Stone “kids.”

She leaves behind her longtime companion, Barbara Ross; Barbara’s son, Jonathan; his wife, Ann; and grandchildren Katharine and Colin.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, 2010.

Her passion was the care of animals, and memorial donations may be sent in Sandy’s name to Best Friends Animal Society, Attn: Sheila Johnson, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, UT 84741-5000,
