Bicyclist fatally struck by car in Calverton

A bicyclist was killed on Route 25 in Calverton Tuesday afternoon after he was hit by an SUV while riding on the busy road.
Frank Cisler, 25, of Calverton was driving a 2002 Jeep SUV west on
Route 25 about 5:15 p.m. when the accident occurred,
according to Riverhead Town Police. Police said Santos Lopez-Hervert,
34, also of Calverton rode into the road in front of Mr. Cisler
just west of Edwards Avenue and was hit.
Mr. Lopez-Hervert died at the scene. Police said no charges have been filed and the investigation is continuing.
