A letter from the publisher

Dear readers,

For more than 100 years The News-Review has prided itself on being your trusted source for local news.
Over
the last 10 years, the way we deliver that news has changed greatly. We
have spent significant time trying to find a balance in how to best
serve our readers in a new digital age.
It is with great pleasure that we announce our recent decision to make our website free for all to enjoy.
It’s
a simple fact that you, our readers, have changed the way you consume
news. While you have remained loyal to our weekly print product, we
understand there is a daily need to keep up with what is going on in our
constantly evolving communities.
That’s why we are making a strong
commitment to expand our presence on the web. We recently began
publishing daily newsletters that serve as mini-newspapers for our
online readership to enjoy.
We’ve also revamped our commenting and
social networking software to make our site more interactive, so you,
too, can share your voice with the community. We are planning many more
updates and improvements in the coming weeks.
Now by giving you the
ability to access our sites free of charge, we hope you continue to
enjoy The News-Review in ways never before possible.
We look forward to being your trusted source for local news for the next 100 years and beyond.

Sincerely,
Andrew Olsen, Publisher
