Wading River man accused of sex crime

A Wading River man was arrested on sexual assault charges Sunday three weeks after he allegedly forced a woman to perform a sex act on him, according to court documents.

Dominick Ball, 28, was arrested at his job at the Darkside Haunted House on Route 25A in Wading River about 5:30 p.m. and charged with first-degree criminal sex act.

According to documents, the incident occurred at a Wading River home about 11:30 p.m. Oct. 2. Mr. Ball was arraigned in Riverhead Justice Court Monday morning and released on $5,000 bail

Mr. Ball’s attorney declined to comment on the allegations.

The haunted house’s owner, Mike Meola, said the only reason why Mr. Ball was arrested at his business was because Mr. Meola assisted police in the investigation.

“This incident had nothing to do with us,” he said.
