We had a great time at the Vail-Leavitt Music Hall last Thursday night. My daughter MaryAngela and Hope Andrejack of Cutchogue presented a fabulous performance of acoustic originals. Lauren Peyton of Manorville was an extremely polished performer, supported by two acoustic guitarists. All in all, the girls kept the crowd singing and clapping.
We attended the fall graduation of Canine Companions for Independence at the Hyatt in Hauppauge on Nov. 13. As usual, the graduation of these special dogs with their disabled recipients was truly moving and inspiring. Puppy-raisers from Long Island and the East Coast as far south as Virginia turned many puppies back into CCI for advanced training. Among those star pupils was former Jamesport resident, golden retriever/lab mix Joss Joss, raised by Lisa Lackner and Gabor Kishegyi of Jamesport. This couple has done a fabulous job raising their first puppy for CCI and are currently raising their second puppy. From our home to yours, congratulations Lisa, Gabor and Joss!
