Christopher Shamell Parker

Christopher Shamell Parker of Riverhead, known as “Mel,” died Dec. 27 at the home of his aunt. He was 23.

He was born in Patchogue on Dec. 20, 1987, to Earl Parker and Pamela Bagley.

Predeceased by his mother in 2001, Mr. Parker is survived by his father, of Riverhead; his aunt and caretaker, Karen Riddick of Riverhead; his siblings, DaShawn, Tyree and Shakema, all of Riverhead; and his grandmothers, Celiner Bagley of Riverhead and Dorothy, of Bellport.

The family received visitors Dec. 31 prior to services at Galilee Church of God in Christ in Riverhead, led by the Rev. Dr. Roy Pennon. Interment followed at Riverhead Cemetery.
