‘Rockin’ for the Homeless’ set for Jan. 22

As blizzards continue to threaten the East End, it’s more important than ever to consider the plight of our area’s homeless — and on Saturday, Jan. 22, the East End Lions Club will do its part by hosting the third annual ‘Rockin’ for the Homeless’ concert from 7 to 10 p.m. at Polish Hall in Riverhead.

Three bands — Who Are Those Guys, Gene Casey & The Lone Sharks and Boot Scoot Boogie — will perform and there will be dancing, food, door prizes, a 50/50 raffle and a chinese auction. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

You can purchase tickets for $25 each until Jan. 20 at Barth’s Pharmacy or Farm Country Kitchen in Riverhead, Tools in Flanders, Love Lane Sweet Shoppe in Mattituck, Wayside Market in Southold or Karen’s Country Deli in Cutchogue. Checks can also be mailed to East End Lions Club, P.O. Box 1411, Mattituck, NY 11952. After Jan. 20 and at the door, tickets are $35 apiece.
