Riverhead Borders store will stay open

The Riverhead store will not be among the 200 stores Borders Books plans to close nationwide. The company declared bankruptcy on Wednesday and announced plans to close 30% of its stores nationwide.

The Westbury and Commack stores were the only Long Island stores that the company plans to close. The Riverhead Borders opened in 2003 .
