POLICE BLOTTER Riverhead Town

An employee of T.J. Maxx in Riverhead was arrested Saturday after she reportedly stole more than $1,700 worth of items from the Route 58 store, police said.

Tanesha Clinton, 19, of Riverhead is accused of stealing clothing, household items and other merchandise on four separate occasions, officials said. She was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and released on $100 bail.

• Willie Trent, 30, of Riverhead was arrested by state police Friday for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, authorities said. No additional details were available.

• Corey Hartman, 22, of Wading River was charged with second-degree mischief last week, town police said. The arrest, which stemmed from a Nov. 19 incident, occurred about 10 a.m. last Tuesday. No additional information was available.

• Vincent O’Dowd, 34, of Riverhead was charged with second-degree harassment at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead about 5 a.m. Saturday, according to town police. No additional information was available.

• Three vehicle break-ins were reported in the parking lot of Planet Fitness on Kroemer Avenue in Riverhead late Thursday night and Friday morning. In all three cases a woman’s purse was stolen from the vehicle. No arrests were made.

Those who are named in police reports have not been convicted of any crime or violation. The charges against them may later be reduced or withdrawn, or they may be found innocent.
