POLICE BLOTTER Riverhead Town
Two young men were arrested on drug charges at the Hess Mart on Route 25A in Wading River last Wednesday, authorities said.
Daniel Breisacher, 21, of Wading River was arrested by town police and charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance about 1 p.m. At the same time, police arrested Colin James Volinski, 21, of Southold and charged him with criminal possession of a controlled substance, officials said.
Mr. Breisacher was released on $500 bail and is due back in Town Justice Court June 7. Mr. Volinski was released without bail and is due back in court March 23.
• An Aquebogue woman was walking her Brittany spaniel on Vineyard Way last Thursday when two neighborhood dogs escaped their pen and attacked the spaniel, she reported to police.
The woman brought the dog, which suffered two minor bite wounds, to Aquebogue Animal Hospital on Main Road where it was given an antibiotic shot and oral antibiotics. The owner of the attacking dogs said he had left his garage door open and accidentally let the dogs out. He agreed to pay for the spaniel’s vet visit.
No charges were filed.
• Corey Lieblein, 30, of Southold was arrested at Digger O’Dells restaurant and bar on West Main Street in Riverhead Sunday and charged with two counts of harassment, police said. The arrest occurred about 3 a.m.
• Dashawn Parker, 21, of Riverhead was arrested on Sigal Avenue in Riverhead Sunday and charged with harassment, town police said. The arrest occurred about 10 p.m.
No additional details were available.
• Edna Brown, 52, of Riverhead was arrested last Wednesday and charged with third-degree grand larceny, police said. The arrest, which occurred at police headquarters about 9 a.m., was made in conjunction with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office.
Those who are named in police reports have not been convicted of any crime or violation. The charges against them may later be reduced or withdrawn, or they may be found innocent.
