After more than a month of lectures and concerts at North Fork wineries, the 2011 Long Island Winterfest Jazz on the Vine came to a close with a final performance at Bedell Cellars in Cutchogue Sunday.

Organizers said the six-week event drew more than 6,000 people to the East End which meant an estimated $350,000 in additional revenue for North Fork hotels, restaurants and vineyards.

“Jazz on the Vine gave local residents as well as visitors to the area the chance to enjoy the delights of the area’s wineries, while also listening to award-winning Jazz artist,” said Pat Snyder, director of East End Arts Council, which co-sponsored the event. “Jazz on the Vine has truly been an affordable indulgence for this year’s visitors and we look forward to next year’s events.”
