Cops hunt shoplifting couple

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding two people who stole $1,050 worth of sweaters from a Tanger Outlets store in Riverhead in January.

Authorities have released surveillance photos of a man and woman, described only as Hispanic, who took 15 V-neck sweaters from the DKNY store Jan. 17.

Anyone with information on either of the suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.

There is a $5,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest
