Slide Show: Riverhead Town’s annual egg hunt

The Riverhead Town Recreation Department held its annual egg hunt for children with special needs at the Stotzky Park hockey rink Saturday morning.

The egg hunt was separated into three age groups: under four, five and six and seven to nine. The recreation department filled 2700 plastic eggs with candy and there were specially marked eggs – 10 for each age group – to win prizes of stuffed bunnies and candy.

There was also one golden egg for each age group and the winner of that received a goody bag of toys and candy.
