Mohamed “Mo” Sidik

Mohamed “Mo” Sidik of Riverhead died April 7 at Peconic Bay Medical Center. He was 65.

He was born Feb. 12, 1946, in Singapore, and was a high school graduate.

He lived in East Hampton, Calverton, and finally in Riverhead, and worked for many years as a manager at King Kullen supermarkets throughout Long Island. Family members said he enjoyed reading, the outdoors, nature and gardening. He loved animals, they said, especially Kemo Sabe, his pet Chihuahua, whom he called “Camel.”

Mr. Sidik is survived by his former wife, Irene, of Riverhead; his sons, Thomas, of Hauppauge, Troy, of Riverhead, and Jaxx, of Middle Island; and two grandchildren.

Arrangements were in the care of Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead, where visiting hours were held April 10. Cremation was private.
