Reminder: On Friday, May 20, at 6 p.m. the Jamesport Fire District will be hosting its annual inspection and memorial service. There will be inspections of the trucks and the firefighters, following which will be a memorial service at the Jamesport Meeting House. Refreshments will be served at the Jamesport Firehouse. All are invited to attend this event to support our local firefighters.

Hallockville Museum Farm will be hosting the Long Island Fiber Fair this Saturday, May 21, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Along with vendors there will be animals and demonstrations of the many facets of fiber. Rain date is Sunday, May 22. The community yard sale will be held Saturday, June 4, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. To reserve a table at the yard sale or for more information, call Herb Strobel at 298-5292.

Hallockville is accepting applications for its weekly summer camps for kids ages 6-12. Call Herb at the number above or email [email protected] Weekly summer camps run from July 5 through Aug. 12. The Music at the Meeting House series begins next week at Jamesport Meeting House. This year the season opens on May 28 with Corky Maul and his Hidden City Orchestra. On Saturday, June 4, Eastbound Freight will be back performing more of their popular bluegrass music.
