LIVE: Tweets from the Riverhead Republican convention

The News-Review staff will be Tweeting updates from the Riverhead Republican Committee’s nominating convention, which starts at 7 p.m. at the Elk’s Lodge on West Main Street.

There are three Town Board nominations to be made tonight. It is expected that incumbents Supervisor Sean Walter, Councilman James Wooten and Councilman George Gabrielsen will be the nominees. We’ll be updating Twitter followers on what they’re saying.

And if there are any surprises, say the Republicans are suddenly meeting behind closed doors, you’ll know how long they’ve been back there for —  and what the news is when they emerge.
