Business Beat: Miller Environmental Group expands to Elmira

• Miller Environmental Group, based in Calverton, has expanded to Elmira, N.Y., with a full-scale service center that will serve western New York and northeastern Pennsylvania.

“Our presence in Elmira is a sign of the existing customer demand that has driven this terrific organic growth,” said vice president and chief commercial officer George Wallace.

Miller Environmental provides industrial cleaning, environmental emergency response, groundwater remediation, health and safety training and marine support services.

• “Savvy Sales Secrets the Old Boys Club Doesn’t Know” is the topic of the East End Women’s Network’s May meeting, set for Wednesday, May 25, at Bayview Inn in South Jamesport. Networking begins at 5:30 p.m., followed at 6 by dinner and a presentation by Christine Laureano of Christine Laureano Coaching.

Guests are invited to donate gently used handbags for a fundraising sale benefiting Lucia’s Angels Foundation, which provides support for cancer patients on Long Island.
