North Fork Community Theatre’s  3rd annual Building on Tradition Gala, Friday, June 17, 7 p.m. at Vineyard Caterers in Aquebogue. Theme is “Legends of the Theatre,” in tribute to past presidents of NFCT. Proceeds support group’s effort to purchase its Mattituck building. Festivals

Community Festival, Saturday, June 11, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on back field of Phillips Avenue Elementary School, Riverhead. Rain date Sunday, June 12. Performances on Main Stage include Chip Bryant (Vaudevillian silent clown), the Hip Pickles (drum band that promotes “good choices”), the ReDancers, Riverhead High School Cheerleaders, Riverhead Martial Arts Center and Riverhead Building Supply Singers. Lighthouse Cruise, Saturday, June 11, depart 9 a.m. from Greenport, return 3 p.m. Cruise along Gardiner’s Bay and Long Island Sound to see famous lighthouses of the North Fork, including Long Beach Bar “Bug” Light, Orient Point, Plum Island, Little Gull, Race Rock, Latimer Reef and North Dumpling.
