Jamesport Fire Department will be hosting its annual bazaar Tuesday, July 19, through Saturday, July 23. The parade is Wednesday, July 20, at 7 p.m. starting on Washington Avenue. A fireworks display will be held Saturday, July 23, at 10 p.m. The carnival will be open from 6 to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 4 p.m. to midnight on Saturday. Hope to see you all there.

Although August is a long way off (let’s not rush summer!), now is the time to plan and train for Jamesport Fire Department’s 13th annual Sound to Bay 10K Aug. 28. Applications are now being accepted. Preregistration fees are $20 (first 400 registrants receive a T-shirt); $25 on the day of the race. Health professionals from Peconic Bay Medical Center will be on site. Refreshments will be available and a huge raffle will be held after the race.
