Richard Donovan

Richard Donovan of Wading River died June 18 at the age of 81.

The son of Ida (Berni) and John Donovan, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and worked for 28 years at Northrop Grumman in Bethpage.

Mr. Donovan was predeceased by his first wife, Lorraine; his second wife, Josephine; and his son Charles.

He is survived by eight children, Richard Jr., Irene Gallo, Patrice Hernandez, Ellen Walker, Amy Fiorenza, Susan, John and Michael; 20 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Peter and Thomas.

Visiting hours took place June 19 at Alexander-Tuthill Funeral Home in Wading River, where a service was held June 20. Interment was at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale.
