Aquebogue-Jamesport: Summer fun, from kids’ camp, Fourth of July music and barbecues to annual fire department bazaar

This evening, June 30, First Parish Church presents an open house to highlight their Summer Youth Program at The Grange. To sign up, call 631-506-1109 or 631-506-1114. The program is for children ages 3-13. The cost is $475. Discounts are available for multiple children. The program’s mission is to teach children how to live organically.

Don’t miss Living Water Full Gospel Church’s musical presentation “God Bless the USA,” tomorrow, Friday, July 1, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Join Living Waters as it celebrates Independence Day in America. It’s barbecue and picnic time! Old Steeple Community Church, UCC, in Aquebogue will be holding its annual chicken barbecue on Saturday, July 9, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Tickets, $15 for adults and $12 for children under 12, are available by calling Jean at 722-4171 or emailing [email protected]. Eat in or take out. Hope to see everyone there!

Jamesport Fire Department’s annual bazaar starts Tuesday, July 19, and continues through Saturday, July 23. The parade is Wednesday, July 20, at 7 p.m. beginning on Washington Avenue. Fireworks, my favorite part of the whole event, are to be ignited on Saturday, July 23, at 10 p.m. The carnival will be open from 6 to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and from 4 p.m. to midnight on Saturday.

I want to wish my daughter, Anna, a very happy 21st birthday, tomorrow, July 1. Anna is a lovely young lady and we really enjoy having her around this summer. Best wishes for a happy 21st birthday, Anna, with love from Mom, Dad, David, MaryAngela and Johanna.
