Marion Helena Burzynski

Marion Helena Burzynski, a longtime Riverhead resident, died June 25 in Vero Beach, Fla. She was 89.

She was born Dec. 20, 1921, in Jamesport to Joseph and Mary (Sepenoski) Truskaloski.

Ms. Burzynski was employed for many years at Bohack Supermarkets, working in Riverhead, Hampton Bays and Rocky Point. She loved flowers and gardening, according to family members, but most of all she loved cooking for and spending time with her many relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley J. Burzynski; her son, Stanley Jr.; and her siblings, Bertha, Anthony, Dorothy, John and Alice. She is survived by her daughter, Marion Metakes of Vero Beach, and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Aug. 27, at 9 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cutchogue.
