POLICE BLOTTER Southampton Town

A simple failure to signal a turn led to a drug arrest, which then led to a prostitution arrest last week in Riverside, Southampton Town Police said.

Ismael Marcado, 45, of Hawkins Avenue in Center Moriches was initially pulled over for failing to signal a turn last Wednesday night on Lake Avenue in Riverside, according to police.

The officer who pulled him over then noticed that Mr. Marcado was intoxicated, and that he had a prostitute in the front passenger seat.

Mr. Marcado was charged with third-degree patronizing a prostitute and driving while intoxicated, according to police.

The alleged prostitute, Kimberly Torres, 45, of Priscilla Avenue in Flanders was charged with prostitution and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Additional information on Ms. Torres’ arrest was not available.

• Candice Whaley, 28, of Edmunton Drive in North Babylon was charged with DWI Sunday night on County Road 104 in Riverside, police said. She was involved in a motor vehicle accident and was found to be intoxicated, officials said.

• Milos Stojanovic, 22, of 36th Street in Astoria was charged with DWI Sunday night on Flanders Road in Hampton Bays after he was pulled over for making an improper turn, police said.
