Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who used a stolen credit card at several locations in Riverhead Town.

Town police say the woman used the credit card at a King Kullen, CVS, Starbucks and several gas stations in town and charged more than $500.

Authorities did not specify where those stores are or when the crimes occurred.

Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. Police are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and all calls will be kept confidential.

• Joanne Rona, 52, of Shoreham is facing a driving while intoxicated by drugs charge after a 4:30 p.m. traffic stop on Sound Avenue last Thursday, police said. No additional details were available.

• Bernard Hettrick, 36, of Riverhead is facing a third-degree sexual abuse charge after his 10 a.m. arrest at police headquarters Monday, town police said. No further details were available.

• A car crashed into a tree near a Sound Avenue business in Calverton about 5 a.m. Sunday and the driver fled the scene, authorities said. Police impounded the vehicle for a safety inspection. No arrests were made.

Those who are named in police reports have not been convicted of any crime or violation. The charges against them may later be reduced or withdrawn, or they may be found innocent.
