Photos: Long Ireland hosts grand opening party at brewery

Long Ireland Brewing Company owners Dan Burke of Shoreham and Greg Martin of Port Jefferson hosted a grand opening bash Saturday at the company’s newly opened brewery and headquarters on Pulaski Street in Riverhead.

The event, dubbed Half-way to St. Patrick’s Day, was timed to land exactly six months before March 17, St. Patrick’s Day.

Bangers & Mash! performed lives music, as did a bagpipe band. Food was available from the nearby Mapletree Barbeque deli on West Main Street. Riverhead Town officials were also on hand to help kick-off the festivities and welcome Long Ireland to the Polish Town neighborhood.
