Riverhead High School students receive Advanced Placement awards

Riverhead High School has released the names of its Advanced Placement scholars for the 2010-2011 school year. The Riverhead High School guidance department, every September, receives a list of students who excelled on their AP courses from the previous year. Last year, 38 students received one of three distinctions on their AP tests.

The following students were named AP scholars, which means they received scores of three or higher on three or more AP Exams: Michael Bierle (class of 2011); Tyler Crohan (2011); Gabriele Escallier (2012); Katina Falek (2011); Rachel Flannery; Kerry Gaffney (2011); Amanda Gallo (2012); Kristianna Giannico (2011); William Green (2012); Justin Haris (2011); Hillary Koplinka (2011); Maria Mesinna (2012); Robert Mullen (2011); Matthew Mulvaney (2012); Marlena Portocarrero (2011); Daniel Raynor (2012); Ashley Ropell (2012); Sandra Ruttkayova (2012); Michael Skinner (2011); Tara Smith (2011); Samantha Vandeurs (2011); Brian Weinhardt (2012); Holly Williams (2011); and Meyling Zuniga (2012).

The following students were named AP scholars with honors, which means they received an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of the exams: Deborah Bates(2011); Joshua Blom (2012); Andrew Geiger (2012); Annina Giannuzzi (2012); Sean Harkin (2011); and  John Rios(2012).

The following students were named AP scholars with distinction which means they received an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of three or higher on five or more of these exams: Emily Cardillo (2011 ); Timothy Clement (2012); Meghan Davis (2011); David McKillop (2011); Alexander Sakhno (2011); Daugile Savaneviciute(2012); Jeremy Warner (2011); and Alexa White (2011).
