It might be too early to choose your New Year’s resolution, but if you’re planning to quit smoking — and want a head start — then visit the Riverhead Free Public Library tonight for a free smoking cessation program.
Suffolk County’s six-week program, called “Learn to be Tobacco Free,” helps smokers break their nicotine addiction through counseling and nicotine replacement therapy. The event starts at 6 p.m. For more information, call (631) 727-3228.

Bring yoga mat or towel. No need to register in advance, pay the first night of session. Cost is $60 for Mattituck and Laurel residents; $65 for out of district residents.
