Riverhead graduate Miguel Maysonet scored four touchdowns for Stony Brook University Saturday against Charleston Southern to set the school record for career rushing touchdowns.

Maysonet, the Hansen Award winner as the top player in Suffolk County who led the Blue Waves to an undefeated Rutgers Trophy in 2008, is still just a junior. And he broke the mark in only his second season at Stony Brook.

Maysonet now has 25 rushing touchdowns in his career to break Bobby Kane’s record of 23 set in 1996. Maysonet has 1,178 yards this season after the 50-31 Stony Brook victory. He has 13 touchdowns this season for the Seawolves, who are 4-0 in the Big South Conference and 6-3 overall.

Maysonet tallied 182 rushing yards on 17 carries in Saturday’s win at CSU Stadium.
