Lois Koltzow

Former Calverton resident Lois Koltzow died Oct 26 in Florida, where she had resided for 15 years. She was 75.

She was born Oct. 21, 1936, in Yonkers to Ernest and Helen Wenk. She married Robert Koltzow in Bay Shore in September 1959 and worked as a school aide in the East Quogue School District. Family members said she loved to cook.

Ms. Koltzow is survived by her husband; her children, Donna Grodski of Riverhead, Diane Zak of Calverton and Robert, of Florida; and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Billy Wenk.

Memorial visiting hours will take place Saturday, Nov. 12, from 2 to 4 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. Cremation will be private.
