Henry W. Costello

Henry W. Costello of Riverhead died at his home Nov. 18. He was 79.

He was born Sept. 3, 1932, in Queens to Henry and Anastasia (Schantz) Costello.

Mr. Costello served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1954 and married Gisele Cote in 1955. He was employed as a machinist at Super Rite in Syosset.

He is survived by his wife; his daughters, Carol Harbeson of Granville, N.Y., Cathy Guthlein of Islip and Jean Finnegan of Shirley; his sisters, Ann Lee of Georgia and Catherine Connelly of Ohio; and two grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors Monday, Nov. 21, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home in Riverhead. A funeral service will take place Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead, followed by interment at Calverton National Cemetery.
