Riverhead Police are on the lookout for three men they say committed a burglary on East Avenue in Riverhead Wednesday night.

The three men, one of whom police said had a handgun, allegedly broke into the home and demanded cash about 11:30 p.m.

A resident of the home got into a “struggle” with one of the suspects and the three men fled. Police said they stole only a Blackberry phone.

There were no injuries reported and detectives are continuing to investigate, Riverhead Police said.

The three suspects were all described by police as black men in their early 20s.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS or Riverhead Police at 727-4500.
