A new burger and hot wing restaurant is coming to Mattituck.

Big City Burgers Atomic Wings, a franchise company based in New York City, is moving into the former Bahia Taco Shop, which closed its doors in September.

Big City Burgers Atomic Wings’s owner George Malamas said he purchased the shop on Tuesday, located in the Waldbaum’s shopping center on Main Road, and plans to open later this month.

“It will be an eat-in, take-out restaurant with a 1950s theme,” Mr. Malamas said as he was cleaning out the space on Friday afternoon.

The restaurant’s decor will include boomerang shaped tables and a checker board floor, he said.

This will be Mr. Malamas’s second restaurant. He also owns the Big City Burgers Atomic Wings in Westhampton Beach.

The menu includes burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and hot wings. In addition to mild, medium and hot sauces for its Buffalo Wings, the eatery offers “abusive,” “nuclear” and “suicidal” sauces.
