The Shoreham-Wading River Board of Education is expected Tuesday night to settle pending disciplinary charges with an employee who was not named on an agenda posted on the district’s website .

The board tabled the measure at its last meeting on Nov. 15.

The charges include “misconduct, incompetence, conduct unbecoming and insubordination,” according to the Nov. 15 agenda.

Board members have declined to provide the employee’s name or further details of the settlement. District clerk Janice Seus denied a Freedom of Information request from the Riverhead News-Review last month, stating that the release of documents associated with the settlement “would constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy under the Public Officers Law.”

The school board is also expected to vote Tuesday on a measure to spend $3,140 on a field trip to a retreat center in Newton, Mass. for the Natural Helpers, an extracurricular club, and $10,100 on a field trip for Miller Avenue Elementary School students to Ashokan Field Campus in Olivebridge, N.Y.

Also at the meeting, school officials will give an update on the forecasted budget for the 2011-12 school year.

The meeting will be held at 8 p.m. in the high school library.
