Update: Police have identified the people involved in Thursday’s motorcycle crash.

A Manorville man and a Setauket woman were taken to local hospitals Thursday morning after a black Volvo sedan slammed into a motorcyclist on Route 58 in Riverhead, just east of the entrance to the Long Island Expressway, according to Riverhead Town Police.

The car’s driver, Patricia Fallingen, 31, was traveling west on Route 58 and attempted to make a left turn into the Hess gas station when she hit the eastbound 2012 Harley Davidson. The motorcycle hit the front, passenger-side of the car and the motorcyclist, Steven Omisore, 34, hit the car’s windshield, police said.

Mr. Omisore was airlifted to Stony Brook University Medical Center for treatment of head injuries. The Suffolk County medevac helicopter landed just off the LIE near the exit 73 off ramp.

He is listed in critical, but stable condition.

Ms. Fallingen was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The accident was reported shortly before 11 a.m.

Police are asking witnesses to call 727-4500.
