Baby New Year born at PBMC, two days later
Baby New Year 2012 came a few days late to Peconic Bay Medical Center.
The first baby of the year was born to parents Courtney and Amos Meringer of Mattituck at 12:46 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
William Havens Meringer, delivered by Dr. Zeinab Fath-El Bab, came into the world at 8 pounds 14 ounces and 21 inches long.
This is the second baby for the Meringers, who also have a 2 1/2-year-old daughter. Ms. Meringer is medical staff coordinator at Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport.
