WRFD monthly report: 262 calls in 2011, 23 in December

The Wading River Fire Department responded to 15 automatic fire alarms including one electrical, two outdoor and five structure fires, according to a monthly report. The total number of calls in December were 23 with a total of 262 for 2011.

Emergency medical technicians responded to 43 calls in December with a total of 735 in 2011. That includes four car accidents, six falls and four strokes in December.

“On behalf of the Wading River Fire District, please be safe,” department officials said in the report.
